Sorry, guys and gals! This update was ready a week ago, but I had some serious problems with uploading because my FTP program stoppped working. After a week of pulling hair, I deleted my FTP accounts, opened new accounts, got a different FTP program and FINALLY got things working this morning.
As you can see from the Splash page, some of the newest Petzville residents helped Albus harvest his pumpkins. The Pilgrim pup is Harold and his Indian pup friend is Gizmo. I adopted them from skullyninja992 on the Virtual Life Forum. They are both really small dogs - especially tiny Gizmo! The Indian kitty is Mira, a gift from Twilight of Twilight Dreamz. The Pilgrim kitty perched on top of the pumpkins is Hollyanne, a gift from Jenna at the Virtual Life Forum. Hollyanne wants to work here, but she'll have to wait until I find the perfect job for her.
If you missed getting the Halloween treats, fear not! You can still get them. But now you will have to search for them because they have become a hidden gift on a hidden page. Muhahahaha
All of the Halloween creatures in the Magical Menagerie Laboratory Holiday Species Collection matured to the Juvenile Stage (Species Numbers 1, 2, 3 10 & 11). In the Species Collection three eggs hatched into Floof breeds (Species #46). Cute, fluffy critters that can fly. Four new eggs appeared in the Hatchery (#47), but there is no information about them yet. Hmmmm. Got me curious! The two Verai eggs (Species 7) at Dragon Wings Freehold hatched. and four new eggs appeared. No information about those eggs either! Finally, Forest finished posting my StarDragon trading cards collection. That was quite a job. Go take a look.
There's a whole bunch of new Petz downloads for you! First, go to Teresa's apartment at Tiki Towers in the Terri's Petz 3 Page archive. You will find three cat breeds that were created by Teresa and Denna as a team effort: the Cream Tabby, the Moss Tabby and the Sun Tiger. They are all super cute!
Next, go to Golden Pawz Suites and meet Rachael, a new tenant! In her apartment you will find two versions of her Belgian Sheepdog and two versions of her Chow Chow. Rachael created a lot of interesting breeds, but she sometimes made changes in breed files from one game version to another.Such changes can cause problems if you aren't aware of them. Be sure to read all breed descriptions carefully.
I've also converted the Prairie and Forest playscenes so that they are now both available for Petz 3, Petz 4 and Petz 5. The Forest playscene is rather special. Created by Birgit of Petz Gallery and tested by Terri, it is the very FIRST user created playscene!! Quite an accomplishment, especially when you consider that there was no Playscene Editor for Petz 3. Bravo Birgit! The Prairie playscene is also rather unique. My petz love chasing the tumbleweeds. Read the playscene description to discover how special those tumbleweeds are! The tumbleweeds (named Thumbleweed.toy and Thumbleweed big.toy) are also available seperately on Terri's Toyz page.
Finally, there's a bunch of new clothes for you: the Balloon Hat, the Daffodil Delight Sweater, The St. Patty's Outfit, The Funky Bunny Costume and the White Tiger Costume.
Make sure to say hello to Miz Angus before you leave. She would love to share her Thanksgiving Day with you.
October 27, 2008
Fall is here! My favorite season. The air is crisp and the trees are dressed in gorgeous yellows and reds and browns.October also means that it is time for Halloween! I always liked scarey, spooky stuff and the Halloween decorations and costumes are such fun! BLT, up above, is wearing her Good Witch costume and passing out treats for me. Be sure to say hello to her.
With so many young people back to school or college the cyberpet sites slowed down a bit, but have still been quite active since the last update. Over in the Magical Menagerie Labratories the Galabex (#35) grew to the Juvenile stage and the Formica (#26), Nyssa (#27) and Neptica (#34) grew to adulthood. Spirit said that the Neptica skipped the Juvenile stage because they really don't have enough distinguishing features to create new poses for them. The Wiurn (#1v2) hatched and there are two new eggs (#46).
At Dragon Wings Freehold the Groyte (#13) and Skyraptor (#14) eggs hatched and two new Verai (#7) eggs appeared! The many October festivities which were being planned had to be postponed due to Rendel and Pender being absolutely swamped with schoolwork. They said they would make up for the delay in December.
Tess at Chicken Smoothie said that she would be pretty much inactive until the beginning of November because of exams. However she posted new puppies, horses and butterfly wolves at the beginning of October and there are a lot of variations. It's a lot of fun to watch them grow and change. Go take a look at page 4 of Tessa's adoptables to see the new ones!
I've a whole bunch of new stuff for you to download! First, go to Louie's Adoption Center (LAC 3). If you downloaded Matt's Rainbow Dane for Petz 5, please download the updated furfile (rada.bmp). When I converted the Rainbow Dane I had to resize the bitmap to work in Petz 5. I tried several ways, but I just couldn't get the fur to look like it does in Petz 3 or Petz 4. This month I learned a new way to resize bitmaps and the updated rada.bmp is MUCH more like the orignal. Your petz will look a lot nicer if you use the new bitmap!
I also converted some more of Matt's Dogz breeds. You can now download his Rattle Snakes, Sealz, the Stafford Bull Terrier and the T-Rex. That finishes Matt's breeds except for the Furby, Horsez and Ratz. Those three aren't available yet because I can't get the conversions to work. I have asked Carolyn for help, but she is terribly busy and it may be awhile before the breed files get fixed.
I also have more hosted Catz breeds from the Terri's Petz 3 Page archive. Go to Tikki Towers and visit Raindaisy to download her pretty Sand Witches breed. Then go meet Teresa and see her lovely breeds. She has the Bits'n'Pieces, the Chartruex, the Korat, and the Strawberry Tabby ready for you to take home and love.
I also have two versions of Terri's Mars playscene ready for you to download. The first version uses the noisy Red Car and the second is an updated version that uses Birgit's Silent Car. The scenes are exactly alike except for the toy car used. Both offer plenty of room for your petz to play and have no distractions - perfect if you are trying to breed, train or pose and photograph your petz. .
I also have two more outfits for you at Terri's Petz 3 Page. Both are by Tess and Frisky thinks they are beautiful! The Honeybee Outfit is a beauiful pantsuit featuring a honeycomb pattern. The Wedding outfit is truly unique. It is a pantsuit for the modern bride.
Whoaa! What's this? New toyz in Terri's archive! Scrappy is hosting Terri's Toyz page and is anxious to tell you about the Coloring Changing Ball and the Silent Car. Welll... maybe not anxious to talk to you at the moment. Just anxious about his safety! LOL!
Uh oh. Looks like there is some sort of trouble over at the Angus Adoption Center. Miz Angus looks quite upset! Better check it out.
September 7, 2008
Whew! It has been a busy Summer! I hope you all had a good one. Summer here has also been hot. My petz, however, know how to keep cool. As you saw on the splash page, they go swimming! Some of them stick to backyard pools, but the ones on the Splash page live in the ocean. Fungi, my dolphin, is named after a famous dolphin living in Ireland. I adopted him from Vickie's Dolphinz breed for Dogz. The two Sea Urchins, Spiney and Prickles, are from her Sea Urchin breed for Catz. The Dolphinz breed is no longer available online, but you can get Sea Urchin breeds for both Catz and Dogz at
Vickie's Petz Zoo.The really big fellow swimming with them is Titan. Titan is a Blue Whale custom hexed by Spider of
Spider's Petzery.
I named him Titan because, growing to a length of up to 110 feet and weighing more than 200 tons, Blue Whales are believed to be the largest animal ever to have existed. The two Seahorses, Mini and Byte were a gift from Relo of
Petz Reloaded. She said that she couldn't resist naming them "Mini" and "Byte!" Also say hello to Sprite playing just above this update news. Sprite is too busy trying to get some treats to even think about going for a swim! I did some conversions for ECRose of Malevolent. and she hexed Sprite for me as a thank you gift.
Things have been really, really, busy in the Collectables archives. Poor Forest and Cora are exhausted, but they have managed to get everything updated. There were a lot of changes at the Magical Menagerie Laboratory. There are some new eggs. They are labeled #1_v2 and must be some new breeds for the Wiurn species.Yay! New dragons!! Next we have some new hatchlings. The Equilion egg has hatched and I now have the cutest little Pygmy horse (Species #8)! The Aptery egg has hatched into a new wingless Gallor breed (Species 16). The Snorfle (Species # 44) hatched and the babies remind me of baby elephants. I wonder what they will look like when they grow up... The Lamadidron eggs also hatched. I don't know what sort of critter they are supposed to be, but the colors sure are pretty! In addition to these new creatures, several of the MML species have reached new growth stages. The Pure and the Tainted Equilion breeds(Species # 8) and the Lerrel breeds (Species # 11) have reached the old stage. The Panella (Species #24) have grown to the mature stage. Two of them turned out to be tiny creatures and two are quite large. I think I prefer the tiny ones. So cute! The Cave and Berserker Drej breeds (Species #30) are now adults... and very scary adults at that! Even scarier are the Weaver breeds (Species #25). They have reached the adult stage and are HUGE evil spiders! I plan to stay far away from them. {{{shudder}}} In stark contrast we have the Yumenokei breeds (Species #36) which have reached the Juvenile stage and are quite lovely.
There's a new egg in the Draconics archive. Sigh... Draconics seem to be a bit slow. This is the first new egg in AGES and there aren't many creatures in the Sanctuary. Things are a bit livlier at Dragon Wings Freehold. There are eight new eggs in the Sands. These will be Species 13 and Species 14. I have no idea what they will be, but it has been hinted that one of the Species will be a semi-aquatic creature. The Stoneling eggs (Species 11) have hatched. I love them and am keeping their pictures because I doubt that they will be as cute when they grow up. The Deesling eggs also hatched and the babies bear a striking resemblance to some of Miz Angus' staff. Hmmmm... I wonder if they are related... The Verai breeds (Species #7) have become teenagers. Cute little fairy-like folk, but owners are warned that they can be stubborn. Also browse through Tessa's Adoptables. There are lots of new dogs and rats, two second generation litters and a new creature - Butterfly Wolves. If some of the images don't display or you can't get to the site to adopt some of your own, just keep trying. Tessa is moving Chicken Smoothie to a new host and it will be down for a few days.
Alrighty, now on to the Petz downloads. Quite a lot of new goodies for you. First, go to Louie's Adoption Center (LAC3) and get five new breeds by Matt. You can download his Gorrilla breed and his Big Gorilla breed. I like the smaller Gorilla breed best and couldn't resist adopting a few of these cuties to play with! If snakes don't scare you, you can download Matt's Grass Snake and his King Cobraz. Carolyn commented that Matt seemed to have had a "thing" for snakes. I reminded her, "Snakes and snails and puppy dog tails - that's what little boys are made of!" LOL! I've also converted and posted one of Matt's fantasy dog breeds, the Rainbow Dane.
Some of you may have a fuzzy memory of me saying, waaaay back in April, that I was having a terrible time converting Shay's Sand Poodle and that she had just visited my site and sent me an E-mail. We worked on it together. My main problem was that the Poodle breed file has lots of variations and I had no idea what Shay intended to do with them. BOTH of us then had a second generation problem to deal with. Odd white patches appearing on the faces of offsping. Ugh. Well after MANY hours of experimenting and testing revised code, I got rid of those silly face patches. So, now Shay and I proudly present to you for download and playing pleasure, THE SAND POODLE!! Get it in Shay's apartment at Golden Pawz Suites in the Hosted Dogs section of the Terri's Petz 3 Page archive.
OK, now some downloads for all you catz lovers out there. Go to Tikki Towers in the Hosted Catz section of Terri's Petz 3 Page archive and visit Kate. Besides offering you a snack, she will show you her beautiful Sawdust Catz. Her breed is actually a variation of the Persian cat and is sure to win a place in your heart. Go a little further down the hall and visit Starbringer. Starbringer has three really fun fantasy breeds for you: The Heart Bunny, the M+M SmileLion and the Starry Skyz. You will have a hard time deciding which one you like best, so go ahead and grab all of them like I did. One more stop at Tikki Towers. You all know Tess. She made some of those great chothes you guys have been downloading. Well, she hexes Catz breeds, too. Stop in at her apartment and see her Persian based kitties. Download her Chocolate Persian with its yummy coat, her Gold Persian which is quite elegant and her squishable Gold Swirl Persian.
Are we done yet? Nope, not yet. Frisky has more clothes to show you in the Clothes section of Terri's site. You can now download the Powder Puff outfit by Terri, the Stone Washed Outfit by Tess, the Genie Pants by Terri and the White Cargo Pants by Terri. Grab them all and you petz will be the envy of the neighborhood.
Now go over to the Adoption Center and navigate to the Speciez Petz 3-4-5 pages. At the top of Page 3 you will find two downloadable adoptions of Matt'z Gorillas and two downloadable adoptions of his Big Gorillas. These are all from overwriting files and will give you a chance to try Matt's gorillas without having to get the breed file. While you are at the Adoption Center say hello to Miz Angus. She's out in her vegetable patch and is chatting with Hiccup and Vinelda. I wonder what they have to say to her so early in the day.......
Whew! That was a lot of reading. But it is worth it. If you haven't noticed, there are now NINETEEN hidden pages with hidden gifts. Most of you are aware that new hidden pages are usually added in the update where they are mentioned. So it would be a good idea to read everything and check out all the new stuff. Chances are you will find the new gifts.
July 12, 2008
July!! Summer is here and so, finally, is a new update. I know you guys have been waiting a long time, but June was a bad month for working on my site. Maybe you heard about all the flooding in the Midwest. Well, I didn't have any floods where I live, but we did have three solid weeks of thunderstorms and tornado warnings. Not a time to keep a computer plugged in! Then, when the storms stopped and the heat wave began my air conditioner died. Totally. It was so hot in my house that I went to stay with friends for a week while I was waiting for a new air conditioner to be installed. FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS WORTH of air conditioner! I am not a happy camper at the moment... just a poor one..... sigh.....
However, I spent the last two weeks working hard to catch up on things and now have lots of new goodies for you. Let me start by introducing you to Chester, the kitty on the Splash page who suggests that you visit Petzville. Chester was hexed by Meer of Black Mist and is, of course, inspired by the Cheshire cat in Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Meer's Litter was based on the Disney movie rendition of the Cheshire in a variety of color combinations. I was fortunate to get one that is in the Disney Cheshire colors. My Chester looks like the way I always envision the Cheshire cat!!
Check out the Collections archives. Cyberpets had a very busy time since my last update. Over at the Magical Menagerie Laboratory the Vespa (Species 42) and Puff Rayzor (Species 43) eggs hatched and the Mosca (Species #19) grew to the juvenile stage. In Dragon Wings Freehold the Kraden (Species #8), Reppequi (Species #9) and Taylua (Species #10) eggs hatched, the Wotcher (Species # 5) and Bionis (Species #6) grew to the juvenile stage, and there are six new eggs! In Tessa's Adoptables the June pets have grown and the new July pets have been added. Check out the bottom of this page for some links and some information about Tessa's cyberpets.
I've been really busy with the Petz game conversions. Some of them were difficult, some had errors that needed correcting and they all took a lot of time to finish, but I think you will enjoy them! Go to the Louie's Adoption Center Archive to download five new Dogz breeds by Matt: Matt's German Shepherd, the Ghostly, the K-9, the Kiwi and the Ladybug!
While you are still at Louie's, grab the three new playscenes: The Picture Gallery, Starry Night and The Pound. These took a long time to convert because Petz 3 playscenes were done with a hex editor. I had to extract the pictures and sounds and then carefully build the Petz 4 and Petz 5 versions with Hex Workshop. No playscene editor for these scenes!
There are some new breeds for Catz. too! Go to Tikki Towers in the Hosted Catz section of Terri's Petz 3 Page. First visit Ann again. She now has a Pink Leopard and a Russian Giant in her apartment. With two giant catz, it's getting crowded in there! Next, go down the hall to Kargo's apartment and get three really cute breeds: the Black Fuzzy Kiey, the Siamese Chinchilla and the Medium Head. I especially like the two Chinchilla breeds because they look so huggable!!
Ready to add some new clothes to your Petz' wardrobe? Check out Terri's Clothes and download four new outfits. For bedtime your petz can wear the Kiss Pajamas or the PawPrint Pajamas. Remember the Skittles Sweater that also goes with the Rainbow Outfit? You couldn't get the Rainbow Outfit when I posted the sweater because I hadn't finished converting it. You can get it now. And the lovely Red and Blue Pearl outfit that Frisky was trying on? You can now download that, too.
Don't forget to stop by the Adoption Center and see what the kids are up to. It appears that there is a new resident in Petzville!
May 15, 2008
Yep! It's Spring and the critters in the Cyberpet world are reproducing and growing rapidly. Check the links at the bottom of the page to see thirteen, yes, SEVENTEEN new eggs since the last update! The new MML Salaves have hatched and the link will show you the new babies in the collection. Quite a few critters have also grown to new life stages. The Anathema (Species 4) at Dragon Wings Freehold have reached the juvenile stage. At MML, the Thundergug (Species 20), the Kinoko (Species 28), the Laredo (Species 31), the Chickens of Doom (Species 32) and the Slynk (Species 33) have all reached the Juvenile stage. The Tilvander (Species) 29) have also grown, but, for some reason, they skipped the Juvenile stage and became adults!
Also check out the new cyberpetz collection, Tessa's Adoptables, that Cora has just finished arranging in one of the galleries. These are more realistic animals - not at all like the fantasy creatures from MML or DWF. And you can click a link to go to Tessa's site and adopt some to use on a web page or signature.
More Petz breeds for you! Go to the Hosted Catz section of the Terri's Petz 3 Page archive and at Tikki towers visit Gemma Italy Day to see her two beautiful fantasy breeds, her Italy Cat and her Neon Cat. Mosey on down the hall and visit Jen. She has some lovely Grey Tortoiseshell kittens and would love for you to have the breed file. Does the breed look familiar to you? You may have seen it at Sand'z Cattery. Jen's Gray Tortoiseshell was very popular and was hosted at several sites. Before leaving Tikki Towers, stop to see Karen and get her Dazzle Cat breed. Another, pretty blue fantasy cat, I had to adopt one to keep Mira happy!
While there are still a lot of conversions to be done for Terri's site, I was beginning to feel a need for some variety. So, I started a new Archive, Louie's Adoption Center 3 (LAC 3). This was a site in the early Petz 3 days when most hexers didn't even know how to make non-overwriting breeds. Louie's site had disappeared by the time I got online, but I was able to track down most of the playscenes. More importantly, Louie's site was the exclusive site for Matt's wonderful breeds which, unfortunately, disappeared when Louie's site closed. Carolyn Horn had most, perhaps all, of Matt's breeds and donated them to the Archive. They include some of the earliest Wilds or Speciez breeds. Not realistic, but quite petzy and delightful. I have converted them and now Petz 4 and Petz 5 gamers can enjoy these fun creatures, too. Go to the LAC 3 Archive (the link is in the Site List) to download the first four conversions: the Anacondaz (snakes), the Beheaded Dog, the Crocodile and the Frogz.
All of the playscene on Matt's site were for Petz 3 and were created with a Hex Editor. There was no Playscene Editor in Petz 3. Converting them is a time consuming and sometimes tricky process, but I managed to get four of them done in time for this update. Look carefully at the one called "Inside the Adoption Center." It was the basis for Miz Angus' Center!
Getting tired of seeing breeds and playscenes? How about some new clothes for your Petz? All in sizes for Petz 3, Petz 4 and Petz 5 petz. Go to the Terri's Petz 3 Page Archive and click on the Clothes button to see and download the Blue Mink Sweater, the Skittles Sweater, the Purple Swirl Shirt and the Paisley Shirt.
After all that running around, looking, drooling and downloading, you must be hungry. Go to the "Food and Drink" section of the Toys List and get a nice, hot PupHut Pizza. Then meet me at the Adoption Center. I am still wondering what Mr. Kojo was seeing up in that tree on the Splash page and I'm going to see if I find out!
April 12, 2008
Wow, Spring is here! Although one couldn't tell from the awful weather we have been having in the Midwest! One day last week the temperature was in the 60's and the next morning it was snowing!! Somebody needs to go give Mother Nature a calendar.
But no matter what the weather is like, lots has happened. First, I had a birthday at the end of March and two of my PC friends sent me lovely petz as gifts. You can see pictures of them and the cards that came with them up above. Both petz will probably end up working somewhere in the archives eventually.
Did you notice the cute critter up in the banner? That's a baby Golden Auquido from my Dragon Wings Freehold collection. There were quite a few changes in my Cyberpetz and their pages, so be sure to check them out! Go to the Dragon Wings Freehold archive and check out the Auquidos (Species #3 on Page 1). They have all grown up to their adolescent stage. Cute, but I think I like their baby stage better.
A lot of changes at the Magical Menagerie Laboratories, too! The Sapling Spriteling (#6 on Holiday Species Page 1) has cast away his winter scarf and started to blossom. What a cute lil fella!
Then go on to the MML Species pages. The Earthen Izer (Species # 9 on Page 1) has _finally_ grown and caught up with its siblings. It seems that this "ugly duckling" has turned into a swan! The Bwee (Species #39 on Page 4) have hatched. I'm glad that I grabbed all the eggs because my favorite, little Static, was retired as soon as he hatched and is no longer available for adoption. Lucky me! Then go on to Page 5. I have added the Lotine at the bottom of the page. The Lotine doesn't have a Species number so, just for reference purposes, I have numbered it 41a. The Lotine you see is the only one available as a free adoption. All other Lotine have to be earned or won in Roleplay or purchased with real money. I guess I will have to settle for having just one Lotine.... Now go over to Page 2 and look at the Gallor (Species #16). They have all grown to the mature stage and are absolutely beautiful. I love the way Spirit has done the feathers and used different bird heads for the breeds! Finally, on Page 1 you will see the new Species 10 v2 eggs. Since these eggs are v2 and four of the original Salves have been retired, I bet these are new Salves.
Oh dear. Last I saw of Forest D Nutter, he was wandering around muttering something about how women always want to move and rearrange things. Seems that, while he was asleep, Cora separated the Cyberpetz items from the Petz items, set up a new room for Petz collections and added my Puppytown Coin Collection. Frankly, I think that was a good idea and that she did a good job. Go take a look and maybe grab a coin or two for your site.
Petz? What are petz? Just kidding! Actually I spent a LOT more time on petz than on the collections. All I had to do with the collections was update them and add one small archive. The Petz breeds had to be converted, tested, fixed when necessary, written up and added to the proper pages. Very time consuming! So, what is new for download?
First, I have added Aslf's "apartment" to Tikki Towers in the Terri's Petz Page 3 archive. There you will find three new breeds by Aslf and some friends. These are natural colored catz that were quite popular: the O+W Shorthair, the Short Catz (A Munchkin breed), and Vanilla Catz. After you grab those, go next door to Denna's apartment and get her beautiful Black Tabby. For a bit of fun, also download her two fantasy breeds: the Cheshire Cat and the Metallicat. The infant Cheshires are adorable! Ok, so I have some odd tastes in petz... The Cheshires seem hard to pick up at first because you can't see their bodies, but you will quickly learn just were to place the cursor to pick them up.
Got some more Dogz breeds, too. Be sure to check them all out at the Golden Pawz Suites, home of the hosted Dogz breeds at Terri's Petz 3 Page. I added Shay's Water Chi. That finishes Shay's breeds except for the Sand Poodle. I am having trouble getting it to breed properly. Fortunately Shay saw her breeds on my page and E-mailed me. She is going to rehex the file and I will post it when she gets it working.
Next, go to StarBringer's apartment and look at the FuzyJulie and the Love Wolf. The Love Wolf has been one of my favorite breeds for a long time. I downloaded it years ago from a site that didn't attribute the posted breeds and didn't know who created it until I started working on Terri's archve and got the files from Chris.I think you will ejoy the breed and will find its color shifting coat fascinating.
Also stop in at Tobi's place and see her three breeds. I like her Blazer best. Reminds me of some of the hexed petz being offered for adoption today!
Still wondering about that white puppy on the Splash page? Go on over to the Adoption Center and find out what he and Duke are up to!
March 19, 2008
Katie, a friend at the Virtual Life Forum, sent me the Birthday card posted above. The lovely cat pictured on it is Flower Power and she came along with the card as a gift!! Flower Power is a hexed Calico and is absolutely beautiful. Just look at those warm colors and sweet face. And please DON'T DROOL ON HER!!
Up in the site banner you can see Rudi Hase chatting with me. Rudi is THE original, authentic Easter hare or, as some call him, Easter rabbit. Do NOT, I repeat, do NOT call him Peter Cottontail or "a cute little Bunny." As you can see, he's no little, cuddly bunny. He is a Flemish Giant and is absolutely huge. If you want to know the TRUTH about who he is, go look at the April 1, 2007 entry in Miz Angus' Journal.
Rudi just told me something that might give you something fun to do. He said that he has a magic egg and when he rubs it, he gets transported to wherever he wants to go. He told me that it is really essential during Easter when he has to deliver Easter baskets all over the world in just one night.... The magic egg provides his transportation since he doesn't have a reindeer and sleigh. But, alas, HE LOST IT! Coming over to give me a special Easter basket he dropped the egg somewhere in this update. He is desperate to get it back and says that if anyone finds it they will get some Easter treats. Can you help him get his egg back?
Forest D Nutter's wife has agreed to help with the collections. A good thing, too, because Forest is exhausted. She has been busy organizing and posting my Dragon-Wings Freehold (DWF) collection. DFW now shares the MML site and also has many unique cyberpets to adopt just for fun or to use in roleplay in the roleplaying forums. The collection is still small because DFW is a fairly new site. Take a look at my collection and visit the site to adopt some "monsters" of your own.
While you are over in the Cyberpetz archives, check out some of the recent changes. In the Magical Menagerie Species Collection Starlight, Rascal and Earbiter (Species #15) have reached the Juvenile stage. Look at their pretty wings! Also, as promised, four eggs hatched on March 7th (Species #41). It turns out that March 7th as a "special" day because it was Spirit's birthday! Also look at the new Species # 16 egg on page 2 of the Holiday Species collection.
It hasn't been very long since the last update and I have been spending most of my time hexing Easter treats, updating the Magical Menagerie pages and organizing the DWF pages. But I DID get a few more Terri's Petz 3 Page breeds converted for you. Go to Tikki Towers to get the Polish Flagz cat and the Swedish Flagz cat by Ann. Those two breeds finish her "Flagz" cat set. Stop at Anna's apartment and get her Water Catz. They are a really pretty shade of blue!
I also have some more dog breeds for you. Go over to Golden Pawz Suites and download Shay's Seashore Sand Dog, Sandy Lab, and Sandy Mutt. Hmmmm.... so many sand textured breeds.... Makes me wonder if Shay lives near a beach....
Don't leave without stopping by the Adoption Center. I do believe that little Pepperoni is about to make an appearance!
February 28, 2008
Ohhhhh.... just look at those huge creatures on the splash page! They are Ice Age Snokats enjoying a Winter meal on their snow covered tundra. They were adopted from the Snokat breed file by Vickie of Vickie's Petz Zoo. The background is a playscene I made for them and for all my Arctic pets. Pictured above this update is a much smaller, cuter, tamer kitty. Meet Miss Mira!. She was a surprise present from Twilight of Twilight Dreams and is a mix of Calico and a breed that Twilight is creating. Isn't she pretty? Twilight named her Mira, but since I already have a pet called Mira, I am referring to my new pet as Miss Mira.
Breed files! Eight more new breeds for you, all available for Petz 3, 4 and 5. Go to Terri's Petz 3 Page and check out the Hosted Catz and Hosted Dogz. Visit Shay at Golden Pawz Suites and download the Pumpkin Dane, the Sand Scotz, the Sand Sheepdog and the Sandy Bulldog. Compared to the brightly colored dogz and catz usually found in Terri's Archive, Shay's breeds seem more realistic as they feature normal pet colors. Want more fantasy petz? Then hop on over to Tikki Towers in the Hosted Catz section and visit Ann. Remember Terri's Flagz Dogz? Well, Ann has created some Flagz Catz for all you cat lovers. Download her American Flagz, English Flagz, German Flagz or Irish Flagz. Better yet, download them all and have an international pet party!
Cyberpets. Poor Forest D. Nutter. He has been working his fuzzy little tail off setting up my Magical Menagerie Labs pets archive. I think he has all but two of the Species creatures posted. He also added all of my special Holiday Species. Notice Species #7, the Valentine Love Pup! It changed this month!
the 2008 version is soooo cute! Forest added four Draconics and started the Pocket Pets page. Both of those pages are unfinished because the Labs is undergoing some major revisions and Forest can't access the Species information at the moment. He is also keeping an eye on those four new eggs which are due to hatch around March 7th. Poor tired little squirrel.... I think he needs to have his wife come in and help him a bit.....
Do you enjoy making your own playscenes? If you do, there is a treat for you! Loxfiredance, one of the Moderators at the APKC Forum created several petsy style playscene background images about two and a half years ago. Forum members could get them by request. They haven't been available since then, but I now have her permission to distribute them so you can enjoy creating some new scenes for your game. Go to Desktop Playscene Wallpapers in the menu and look at the list. Click on any scene by Loxfiredance and you will be taken to a page where you can see and download all six of her creations.
Finally, go to the Adoption Center and take a tour with Tony and TIGER. It looks as if the future might get very interesting.....
January 25, 2008
I promised to show off all my Christmas/New Year gift petz in my update and here they are! What? They aren't all lined up and posing nicely? Did YOU ever try to get a bunch of kids excited over Christmas presents to sit still or pose for a picture? I was lucky to get a photo where you can see them all! OK, first, Mistletoe, the black and white pup with antlers and a wreath tattoo on his hip was hexed for me by Max of Domino Effect. I actually got Mistletoe as a 2006 gift, but didn't receive him until late January. I carefully kept him as a puppy stored on a cd so that I could bring him out for Christmas 2007. The three headed dog is Saint Cerberus. He is a Cerberus hexed by Barquestspirit and is all decorated for Christmas! Ummm, he is eyeing that bowl of food, but isn't sure which head to use for eating.... LOL! The green and red kitty playing with the Snow globe was hexed by Medusa. See the yellow nose? Medusa named her Lightbulb because that nose reminded her of a bulb on a string of Christmas lights! Greyto, the cat about to gobble up a banana split, Piggle, the plump cat passing the popcorn around, and Cream Tinge, the cat fascinated with the green plush toy, are a mixie litter bred by KatieM12 of the Virtual Life Forum. Piccolo, the dog wearing reindeer antlers I got from the Sunkissed Advent Calendar, was bred by Anneh. He's wearing antlers and won't let go of the reindeer toy.... Seems to have a real "thing" about reindeer! Elf is the dog wearing a green elf hat and playing with the Father Christmas doll. Elf is a mix bred by shailyn2005. Finally, we have Glimmer, a sexy white mix bred by Stormeeskyes. Glimmer loves playing with the toy red car!
Alrighty, the first thing I did was clean up this page. All the Christmas stuff has been safely stored away. Yes, I know it was up way past Christmas, but I didn't think it would be fair to change pages around until after the Santa Hunt was over. I hope you finished it and got some (or all) of the fabulous prizes. The Labs Galore Christmas Lab clique image has been replaced with the Rainbow Lab I got as a Find it prize. By the way, if you missed the Santa Hunt, you can still get the extra surprise gift I had for hunters. It is now on a hidden page and all you have to do is find it! LOL!
Next I moved my Magical Menagerie critters to a page of their own. They were sort of taking over the Update page... LOL! The page has been added to the Collections menu, but I am also displaying the newest egg and the newest hatchling at the bottom of this page with a link you can click on to quickly check for new eggs and hatchlings every time you visit. I still need to add my Draconics and Pocket Petz. Maybe for the next update.
Well, I promised catz for the catz lovers and this update gives you ten more breeds by Ann! Go to Terri's Petz 3 Page and find Ann's "apartment" in Hosted Catz. There, Catz 3, 4 and 5 gamers can download the Giant Calico, Rainbow Mist, Russian Green, Russian Red, Russian Sky, Russian White, Russian Yellow, Sky Catz, Star Catz, and Sunflower Catz.
No Dogz breeds this time. Sorry. I had to make up to the Catz people who didn't get any new breeds last time while the Dogz people did.
I've also added two new playscenes! The Gate, available for Petz 3, 4 and 5, is an oldie that has been "lost" for years. Probably because it kept crashing the game. I managed to fix what was causing the crashes and converted the playscene for you. The second scene, Winter Day, is available for Petz 4 and 5. I made it using a photograph provided by my buddy, Whalefreak. It's a fun scene and I hope you like it!
Toys! Do you like getting new toys? I have two new really nice "dolls" for you. Find them in the "Playtime" section of the Toys List. I think one of them will make Whalefreak very, very happy!
There are some new residents in the Adoption Center! Go to Page 2 in the Speciez section to download Dudley, a Red Wolf hexed by Random Wiktor of Corvus Corax. Dudley is a Memorial pet. Be sure to read his sad story. Then go over to the Page 1 of the Fantasiez section and download Sky and Fly, two Flighty Frome Wolves also hexed by Random. Be careful, though! If you download BOTH pairs of the Flighty wolves, you will notice that two of them have the same name and will overwrite each other. Make sure to rename one of them before adding the second to your Adopted Petz folder!
Before leaving the Adoption Center and going home to play with all your new goodies, visit Miz Angus. She is, once again, full of surprises!
