As Muninn and I were flying around the other day we found some great places to build our nests and raise our young. We also found a couple of places to search for sparkly stuff. Muninn nearly flipped out when she saw all the shiny things in the Christmas Cabin!

Random made all of these playscenes for Petz 5 and Minibyte has done conversions to Petz 4 so that everyone can enjoy them. A few of the scenes have background images that don't display well on some computers. Read the scene descriptions for hints on how to make such scenes work better for you.

Asian Room
Asian Room

Random Wiktor created this scene for Petz 5. It was a Happy Hanukkah downloadable gift to members of the Petz Community. The background image is a modified version of the Petz 5 Asian Temple.

The image is not in the correct size or proportions for ideal viewing. It does not completely fill the screen. You can resize the window or turn the Screen Tips on to hide the grey strip that appears at the bottom of the scene.

This is Random's description of her scene:

"The Asian Room - Do you love the room that the monkey minigame is in, but hate that stupid goddamned monkey? If so, join the club! This room, which was the parent of the Christmas Cabin, has all of the charm of the origional room with none of the monkey. If you click the bonsai tree, it blooms. And shittily, too!."

Random posted the following description of this playscene on her site:

"This scene is like the back yard in the game, but with not ugly garden or houses in the background. Features including digging, tree and fence climbing, planting on the whole damn yard, and um... yea nothing else. Its boring, but good for breeding."

Cabin
Cabin

Some time after she closed Corvus Corax. Random set up a small Petz section on her Animal Rights and Personal Page. She used it to share files she created when time allowed her to do some hexing. This is a playscene that she posted there and this is what she said about it:

"If this playscene looks similar to the "Christmas Cabin" found in the Petz Advent Calendar, its because I created the Christmas Cabin from this scene. It differs in that it has a nice wall hanging, a cabinet (in this case used as an aquarium stand), and no christmas lights. The window and picture and gazeable, and the window, chair, and cabinet are perchable. The fish tank is not included, but can be downloaded on the "New Toyz" page."

Goldfish Tank Toy

And here is... Hey! Wait a minute! This isn't a playscene! Well, maybe it is if you are a fish... Minibyte decided to place Random's Fish Tank Toy here for a couple of reasons. First, it was created to go with the Cabin playscene described above. Second, this is the only toy made by Random that she found and setting up a special Corvus Corax Toyz page for one toy would be a bit silly. Finally, she wanted everyone to find it easily! This tank was designed by someone who knows a lot about what fish need. Your goldfish should have one just like it! Minibyte's fishie loves it and yours will, too.

Random created the Fish Tank for Petz 5 only. Minibyte converted the toy to Petz 4 and made two simple modifications that people will like. The original toy file overwrote the Goldfish Bowl Toy and, on the shelf, looked like the Goldfish Bowl. She did not change the toy itself in any way, but Minibyte did make the file non overwriting and also gave it on the shelf graphics so that you can now easily find it in the Carry Case or on the Toy Shelf. Hurrah for Minibyte and Nick's Tinker! Hip! Hip! Hooray!

Christmas Cabin
Christmas Cabin

Although Random's site was closed, she created this playscene as a contribution to the 2004 Petz Advent Calendar where it was a downloadable gift on December 17th. The background image is a modification of the Petz 5 Asian Temple image. The Buddha has been deleted and, instead, we have a window with a view of a snowscene. There is Christmas tree decorated with Christmas balls. You can add lights or more balls. Petz can perch on the chair or window sill and roll on the carpet.

The image is not in the correct size or proportions for ideal viewing. It does not completely fill the screen. You can resize the window or turn the Screen Tips on to hide the grey strip that appears at the bottom of the scene.
