Welcome to Louie's Adoption Center 3, usually referred to as LAC 3. I'm Tara and I will be your hostess here at the LAC 3 archive. Minibyte adopted me from Loxfiredance, one of the moderators at the RKC Forum. I was hexed to look like Loxfiredance's real life dog and Minibyte was delighted to get me. She used me to test the LAC 3 playscenes as she converted them. It was great fun and I did such a good job that Minibyte chose me to host the archive!!
In a way, it is kinda hard to host Louie's archive because Minibyte never saw his site! It disappeared a year or so before she got access to the Internet. In fact, LAC 3 appeared and disappeared several times. Back then a lot of the free hosts would delete sites with no notice or warning! Perhaps they thought sites with lots of downloads were distributing pirated software... At any rate, those sudden deletions caused major frustrations for everyone. The fact that Louie had a tendency to grab files from other sites, post them on his own and not get permission or give credit probably added to his troubles. People most likely complained and hosts will delete sites when the works of others are distributed without permission.

Minibyte wanted to do the archive, though, because she kept hearing about all the playscenes that were on Louie's site. She managed to locate the scenes which were scattered among various sites with the intention of making them available here, in one central place.. Then she learned that Matt's breeds were exclusively hosted at LAC 3. That meant that nobody else had them and they all disappeared when Louie's site disappeared! Fortunately Carolyn Horn had Matt's breeds and donated them to the Petz Archive. So we are able to offer them to you thanks to Carolyn! There were other Petz downloads at LAC 3, but they aren't included here because Minibyte was able to identify the the creators of the files she found and will include them in the archives of the sites where they originated. |
