Here are the delightful breeds created by Matt and exclusively hosted at LAC 3. Matt was one of the earliest hexers to attempt creating species other than catz and dogz. Yes, we realize that they aren't as "realistic" as the breeds created by people such as Nova and Zoo Vickie. Remember, however, that Matt was hexing strictly with a real hex editor and it was before people mastered working with Add Balls to alter the shapes of breeds. Minibyte thinks he did a great job considering the limited resources and hexing knowledge available at the time! |

Anacondaz for Dogz Anacondaz.dog ID: AFD5
Matt created many imaginative breeds which were hosted exclusively on Louie's web site. This is Matt's version of the Anaconda.
The Anaconda, an aquatic species of boa, is the largest snake in the world. The longest Anaconda found with a verified length was 37.5 feet (11.4 m) long! This giant meat eating snake lives in the tropical areas of South America and spends much of its time in shallow water, hidden from unsuspecting prey. It usually hunts at night, squeezing the prey until it can no longer breathe or sometimes drowning it. Like all snakes, they swallow the prey whole, head first.
The Dogz 3 version of Matt's Anacondaz file was donated to the Archives by Carolyn Horn. Minibyte did the conversions to Dogz 4 and Dogz 5. |

Beheaded for Dogz Beheaded.dog ID: AFD8
Oops! This pupper appears to have lost something! LOL! A headless dog may not seem very unique in the days of Dogz 5, but when Matt created his Beheaded breed for Dogz 3 way back in 1999, it was very unique indeed.. In those days very few people knew how to hex even simple things such as changing fur or eye color. Having a pet with missing parts was quite unusual and special.
The Dogz 3 version of Matt's Beheaded file was donated to the Archives by Carolyn Horn. A second generation problem appeared when Minibyte tested breeding. The puppies all had eyes floating above their bodies! Since she was sure that Matt didn't intend such a thing, Minibyte fixed the file before converting it to Dogz 4 and Dogz 5. |

Crocodile for Dogz Crocodile.dog ID: D0A6
Crocodiles are aquatic reptiles that live in the tropics of Africa, Asia, the Americas and Australia, They are an ancient species believed to be 200 million years old, having appeared long before the dinosaurs! They feed mostly on vertebrates such as fish, reptiles and mammals. They may look clumsy, but they can move very fast and have extremely powerful jaws capable of biting down with immense force. The crocodile's bite force is more than 5,000 pounds per inch and they have sharp teeth to tear the flesh of prey. I would be very careful around these crocodile petz if I were you!!
The Dogz 3 version of Matt's Crocodile file was donated to the Archives by Carolyn Horn. The original Dogz 3 breed had a second generation problem in that offsping were white. I tweaked the file so that offspring would be the color of their parents and then did the conversions to Dogz 4 and Dogz 5. |

Frogz for Dogz Frogz.dog ID: AF55
Most frogs live a semi-aquatic lifestyle, but move easily on land by jumping or climbing. They usually lay their eggs n puddles, ponds or lakes and the tadpoles, having gills, develop in water. Adult frogs are carnivorous, eating various insects. Frogs have a distinctive call which can heard, sometimes for miles, during the night or day, mainly in their mating season. Be sure to look at the README file and learn some strange facts about frogz!
The Dogz 3 version of Matt's Frogz file was donated to the Archives by Carolyn Horn. The original Dogz 3 file has a second generation problem. All offspring were white. Minibyte did the conversions to Dogz 4 and Dogz 5 after fixing the second generation problem. |

Matt's German Sheperd for Dogz Matt's German Sheperd.dog ID: B8A7
Matt created his German Sheperd for Petz 3. The male Minibyte adopted to test the conversion and breeding was a trotter and performed all sorts of tricks to get a treat. You may be lucky and get one like that, too!
The Dogz 3 version of Matt's German Sheperd file was donated to the Archives by Carolyn Horn. There was a very minor problem in the naming section which Minibyte corrected. No, she didn't misspell the name. The breed name actually is German Sheperd. Don't try to correct the spelling of "Sheperd" in the file name. If you change it, the breed won't work. |

Ghostly for Dogz GhostlyDogz.dog ID: FD65
Matt created the Ghostly breed for Petz 3. This little fella would make a perfect companion for Beheaded! One would provide the body and the other could see where they were going. LOL! Might be good friends with the Cheshire Cat, too. Matt had quite an imagination when it came to hexing and I bet he had as much fun making his breeds as we do playing with them.
The Dogz 3 version of Matt's GhostlyDogz file was given to Minibyte by Twilight of Twilight Dreams. There was a very minor problem in the naming section. The abbreviation for the breed wasn't displaying properly. While the file worked, Minibyte fixed the name section just to prevent any possible future problems. |
