Arabian

Arabian
"Thinner, smaller, with modified tail, neck, and head. Overwrites the Great Dane and is only available in solid variations. " ___Rafael

The Arabian file was originally released in Unibreed v1 format. It crashed in Dogz 3 and lacked an Adoption Center picture. Conversion to the regular game breed file format and minor tweaking eliminated the Dogz 3 crashing problem. The breed, as created, was mute, Since they weren't needed, Minibyte removed the sound files to make the file smaller so that it takes up less space and downloads quickly. Minibyte also changed the sound path so that you can add the Galiceno and`Horse sounds by Carolyn Horn if you want your petz to "speak" horse. Finally, an Adoption Center picture was added.

Version 2 Horses

Version 2 Breeds

As noted earlier, Version 2 of the Horse breed file was never released. According to the Sparrow Song Stables site there were actually at least four Version 2 breeds created. Pets from those files were offered for adoption. Unfortunately, Minibyte did not have an opportunity to adopt any of the Version 2 horses. The picture above is a composite of reduced images from the Sparrow Song site. The images are copyrighted by Rafael and displayed here only to show you what the Version 2 horses looked like.

Here, in direct quotes from the Sparrow Song Stables site, are Rafael's descriptions of the four breeds from which adoptable pets were made available:

Stock Horse

This is a heavily muscled, athletic horse that excells in Western disciplines, but may also succeed in English depending on his training and conformation. This build is most suitable for Quarter Horses, Paints, Appaloosas, Australian Stock Horses, and other breeds/mixes similar in build.

This was the first file made.

The Thoroughbred/Light Warmblood

This file is made to represent the Thoroughbred or a light warmblood. The thoroughbred is probably best known as the most common type of race horse, but excells in many areas. This file is made to be the ultimate eventer; its light build lends to its speed during the cross country phase. This file can represent the Thoroughbred, the Trakehner, all sorts of sport horses (Irish, Appaloosa, Friesian, etc), and, as the name implies, light warmbloods. The thoroughbred doesn't look terribly cute as a baby, so I'd advise you to keep the age around 100. :)

This was the second file made.

This file was recently updated to better the neck and head area. :)

Warmblood

Well bred warmbloods of good type can excell in whatever field they're put in; their versatility has made them extremely popular in many areas of English riding. I would suggest showing this file as any warmblood breed save the Trakehner, which is very light in build and has a closed studbook (I'd suggest the TB file if you're after a trake).

Iberian (Andalusian/Lusitano) This file was made to mimic the Andalusian and Lusitano. In real life, these breeds excell at dressage, but wouldn't be out of place in western events: they're used to work cattle in Spain and Portugal. The Iberian is an intelligent animal with a muscular compact body and, usually, a noble convex profile. I chose to group the Andalusian and Lusitano together as the "Iberian" because of the similarities they share (even the same registry). The Iberian is not pretty as a foal, so I'd suggest keeping the age at 100. :)
