Maxine's Kennel Main Page



	This is the entrance to Maxine's Kennel. Isn't it lovely? We come here often just to relax, look at the flowers and get all nostalgic about the good old days when Maxine's was still open. It' pretty much abandoned now and Maxine's imaginative contributions to the Petz Community are no more..sniff... My name is Lady and I'm an APKC Cocker Spaniel. This fellow here is my good buddy, "Butthead." DON'T CALL ME BUTTHEAD!!!! giggles I can't resist. Every time we come here I remember how you got that nickname. Minibyte got permission from Maxine to convert files and there she was... just boppin' along, churning out clothes conversions... until she came to the diapers. She THOUGHT they were OK, but when you tried them on, I fell over laughing. That beautiful white diaper on your forehead! LOL! LOL! Even Minibyte got the giggles. That was one hexing mistake that she'll NEVER forget!
OK, OK, I have to adimit that it WAS funny. But, call me Bruno, please. Awww... Ya know we love ya, Bruno. That little story is just part of the nostalgia. As I was saying... Butthead, errr...I mean, BRUNO is a Mastiff. Minibyte got him in The Great Egg Hunt of 2001. He was a "prize" donated by Jax-e of Fluffy Cloud Petz. Gosh... the good times we can have when the sites in the Petz Community work together to create fun things to do! Remember the Summerfest that Windsong coordinated? That was great, too, and Minibyte found oodles of petz and other goodies. Vickie's December 2004 Advent Calendar was also fun. Minibyte and I could hardly wait to check it each day! Like those fun times, Maxine's Kennel goes back a long way. All of her Dogz breeds were for Dogz and Dogz II!! I think her Ferrets were the only petz available for Petz 3. All the clothes were for Petz 3 and some of them worked only on Dogz. Catz couldn't wear them. The clothes files were all overwrites, too! Hexing was still relatively new and Maxine was still learning. Minibyte offered to convert the clothes to non-overwrites. The outfits we are wearing are from Maxine's and I think they are nifty! She did a great job figuring out how to hex clothes in the new Petz 3, don't ya think? Yeah, Lady, Maxine did some fantastic stuff. But, I gotta ask. What good is an Archive full of Dogz and Dogz II stuff and some Petz 3 clothes? Not many people use those games now. We need stuff for Petz 4 and Petz 5! Ahh, Bruno, don't forget! Minibyte converts files so that visitors to the Archives can even play with things created long ago. She converted the Dogz II breeds to Dogz 3, 4 and 5. The clothes are available for Petz 3, 4 and 5 as well. The clothes are all non-overwrite and will work on both catz and dogz! Then there are all the extra goodies like playpen wallpapers, large wallpapers to use as "areas" in Petz II or as background images in playscenes you create, and some cool playscenes. There are a few petz to adopt as well! Come on Bruno, lets explore and see what Minibyte has for us to download!
