Like that green leprechaun hat? It's a gift on one of the hidden pages. Find the little shamrock and it's yours! Hint: It is on one of the pages added with the St. Patrick's Day 2006 update. Don't know what was in that update? Errr... *points to menu.* I think the "Past Updates" might be useful here... LOL!

Annie didn't comvert her IrishDali to later versions of Petz. Instead, for Dogz 4, she created a new variation of the breed. She used a lighter color of green and made the breed a Dalmatian.dog overwriting file. Minibyte has converted the file to Dogz 3 and 5 so that everyone can enjoy it!

WARNING! READ CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THIS FILE!

Many years ago Carolyn Horn also converted this breed file and had it posted on Anso's Petz 3 Page. Carolyn now has conversions for Dogz 3, 4 and 5 posted on her site, Carolyn's Creations. Carolyn and Minibyte used different approaches in converting the Dogz II file and the resulting petz are different in appearance. Look at the ears of Annie's Dogz 2 breed. They are pink with a few white spots. Minibyte converted the file to duplicate appearance and petz from her converted files have pink ears with a few white spots. Petz imported from Dogz II do not change in appearance. Carolyn converted the file by duplicating code, including an error made by Annie. As a result, petz from Carolyn's conversions have pink ears with large blue patches. Still cute, but a Dogz II pet owner might not want their puppy developing blue patches on its ears when it is imported to a later version of the game!

So, what's the problem? The problem is the fact that in order to import Dogz II petz the conversions must have the same breed name as is found inside the Dogz II file. Thus, Carolyn's files and Minibyte's files all have the same breed and file names, but have been given different ID numbers. Both Carolyn's and Minibyte's files will import Dogz II Jelly Pinks, but petz imported with Carolyn's files will develop blue patches on their ears. Petz from Carolyn's files will not work with Minibyte's files and petz from Minibyte's files will not work with Carolyn's files because the ID numbers are different. If you have Dogz II Jelly Pinks you should use Minibyte's conversions. If you have adopted Jelly Pinks that have blue patches on their ears, use Carolyn's files. If you don't have any Jelly Pinks, you can choose the files with the ear type you prefer. Just remember! If you put any Jelly Pinks up for adoption you MUST inform the person adopting which breed file to use and where to get it.
