British Shorthair (AKA British Blue) for Catz II
Conversions of this Catz II version and Yori's later version of the breed overwrite each other!
The British Shorthair comes in a variety of colors, one of the most popular being blue. For this reason it is often called a British Blue. This fact adds confusion to the versions of this breed file.
This is the original British Shorthair Yori created for Catz II. It was posted on an early site called Yori's Home Page and was also hosted at Petz Gallery. The breed was called British Shorthair, but the file is actually named British Blue. Yori created a different version for Petz 4 and posted it on a later site, Yori's Petz Page. The later version has the same file name, but it has a different ID number and its appearance is different. The original version uses external furfiles and the petz have lovely white ruffs. The Yori's later version does not use any external furfiles and does not have a white ruff.
This original Catz II version has been converted to Petz 3, 4, and 5 so that people can import their Catz II petz with ruffs and so everyone can have British Shorthairs/British Blues with ruffs if they wish. |

Tron and Yori Kittyz for Catz II This breed is also available for Catz 3, 4 & 5.
There is an interesting puzzle about this breed. The Catz II file was downloaded from Yori's Petz II breeds page and the colors are as shown here. The picture posted on the site, however, showed the cat as blue like a Russian Blue with bright blue ears, tail, feet, ruff and muzzle. Yori also stated that the "new" version has normal eyes. The eyes of the cat in the picture and the downloaded breed are identical and neither are what I would call "normal." The downloaded breed does not use any textures and has no variations. If you are familiar with Yori's Petz II breeds and can explain why the cats in the picture and in the downloaded breed file are different, please email me. |
