Outside Mindy's

It's in the wee hours before dawn and there is a gentle rain falling. As we stroll down Broadway we see Snoopy and Gracie in their "Guys and Dolls"costumes standing outside of Mindy's. Let's stop and try to hear what they are saying... "Ok, Gracie, this is where Sarah is supposed to ask Sky what time it is." "Brrrr... do we HAVE to rehearse in the rain? I am getting cold!" "Yes! We have to be ready. The play opens tomorrow night! ... and I am getting a bit nervous. They sure did a good job on this playset, though, didn't they?" "Yeah.... except that I could do without the puddles. What's so special about this Mindy's anyway?" "Lindy's, a chain restaurant, located on the north-east corner of 49th Street on Broadway, was Damon Runyon's main hangout. It was a Jewish deli where he enjoyed eating sturgeon sandwiches and meeting the many characters who later ended up in his stories - characters like us, Sky and Sarah! In "Guys and Dolls" Lindy's became "Mindy's"and this is where a lot of our scenes will take place." "Cool! Sigh... let's try again... What time is it?"

Look what I found behind Mindy's. A Tribble!! Gracie! Gracie, come back! It's not a REAL Tribble from Star Trek. It's just a toy! And it is really fun to play with and chase around the room. I'm gonna take it home with me. It even looks like a Tribble in the Toy Case or on the shelf in the Toy Closet. That should startle a few people who remember "The Trouble with Tribbles" Star Trek episode.
